Pull out the paper tray.

Fix the sole plate of the paper tray.

Slide the paper guide outward.

Set a pack of paper.
Notes:
Do not use paper that is folded or wrinkled, or that has a large warp (curl).
Do not set more paper than the maximum capacity (upper limit of paper).
Set the paper under the pawl and do not put it on the pawl.
If you load paper without shifting the paper guide outward, the tabs may be deformed and cause a paper jam.

Align the paper guide with the paper.
Notes:
Pressing the paper guide strongly against the paper may cause a paper jam. Conversely, if too loose, it will become a cause of a twist of paper.

Adjust the paper size scale.
Notes:
Make sure that the stopper of the vertical paper guide fits snugly into the hole on the scale.
If the vertical paper guide does not match the scale, the paper size may not be detected automatically.

Push in the paper tray.
Notes:
Do not push the paper tray too hard with excessive force.
